Why this site exists
QR codes are an open standard. Anyone can create one, and a static code works forever. Yet many popular QR websites put a time limit on "free" codes, route every scan through their own servers, and switch the code off when a trial ends. Restaurants, wedding couples and small shops have found out the hard way, after printing hundreds of copies.
QR Code Haven does the opposite. The codes you make here contain your content directly. There is no redirect, no account and nothing for us to turn off.
How the tools work
Every tool runs in your web browser using open-source libraries (listed in our license notices). When you type a WiFi password, upload a logo or scan a code with your camera, the processing happens on your device. We don't receive or store it. After the first visit, most tools even work offline.
How we write our guides
Our guides are written and maintained by the QR Code Haven team. We test what we write about: codes are generated with our own tools, decoded with our test scanner, and printed and scanned on real phones. Where we cite rules (such as Google's review policies or GS1 barcode rules) we link to the source. We update guides when standards or platform behavior change, and every guide shows when it was last updated. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
How we make money
The tools are free and will stay free. To pay for hosting and development we plan to show a small number of clearly labeled ads, recommend print products through affiliate links (always marked), and offer an optional Pro plan for people who need dynamic codes that can be edited after printing, with scan statistics. Free static codes will never be limited to push people toward Pro.
