How to make a LinkedIn QR code

    1. Find your profile addressOn LinkedIn, open your profile and copy the address (linkedin.com/in/your-name). For a company page, copy linkedin.com/company/your-company.
    2. Paste it, or type just your profile nameFor a personal profile you can type only the part after /in/ and we build the link.
    3. Pick a professional designLinkedIn blue (#0A66C2) works well for the frame. Keep the dots dark.
    4. Download and add it to your materialsSVG for business cards and print, PNG for slides and email signatures.

Get a clean profile address first

LinkedIn gives every profile a default address like linkedin.com/in/jane-doe-4b7a1290. A custom one such as linkedin.com/in/janedoe looks more professional and makes a smaller QR code. Change it under Me → View profile → Edit public profile & URL → Edit your custom URL. Do this before printing: the old address may stop working.

Where a LinkedIn QR code helps

    • Business cards. A business card QR code can open your profile, so people see your experience and connect in one step.
    • CVs and résumés. A small code in the header lets recruiters jump to your recommendations and portfolio. Keep it about 2 cm wide.
    • Conference badges and lanyards. Faster than spelling your name.
    • The last slide of a presentation. Keep it on screen during Q&A.
    • Email signatures. People on mobile can scan it from your printed email or a screenshot.
    • Trade show stands and recruiting fairs. Link to your company page or a jobs page.

LinkedIn's own QR code vs. this one

The LinkedIn app has a built-in QR code (search bar → QR icon). It's handy when you're standing next to someone, but you can't change its design and it isn't made for print. A code from this page is a standard QR code with your colors and logo, in high resolution or vector, and it opens your profile with any phone camera, even without the LinkedIn app.

    Tips

    1. Use a recognizable profile photo and headline. The scan is wasted if people can't tell they found the right person.
    2. Add a clear call to action: "Connect on LinkedIn" or "See my portfolio".
    3. Offer both options on business cards: a vCard code to save your number, and this one to connect. The generator above has a vCard tab too.

    For recruiters and employers

A company page or careers page QR code works well on job fair stands, posters in universities and printed job ads. Link to:

    • your company page, so candidates can follow and see your culture posts;
    • your LinkedIn jobs list (company page → Jobs), so they apply right away;
    • or a specific job post for one role.

Use the bulk generator to make one code per job post for a careers fair, each with the job title as frame text.

    For speakers and job seekers

    • Put the code on your last slide and leave it up during questions.
    • Add it to your CV header at about 2 cm; recruiters often scan printed CVs during interviews.
    • Print it on your conference badge or a sticker on your laptop.

    Troubleshooting

"Profile not found" or a login wall. LinkedIn hides profiles from logged-out visitors depending on your privacy settings. Check Settings → Visibility → Edit your public profile and make sure "Your profile's public visibility" is on.

The code opens someone else's profile. You probably typed only part of the URL. Copy the full address from your profile page.

Quick styles for a professional look

The Classic and Indigo quick styles look clean on business stationery. Add your company logo (we switch to error correction H automatically), and keep the code on a white background for reliable scanning in conference halls with mixed lighting.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I find my LinkedIn profile URL?

Open your profile on LinkedIn and copy the address from the browser, or go to "Edit public profile & URL" to see and customize it.

Can I make a QR code for a LinkedIn company page?

Yes. Paste the company page link (linkedin.com/company/…) into the field.

Does the code open the LinkedIn app?

Yes, on phones with the app. Without the app it opens LinkedIn in the browser.

What happens if I change my custom URL?

The old URL may stop working. Make a new QR code after changing it.

Can I put my LinkedIn QR code on a CV?

Yes. Print it about 2 × 2 cm in a corner of the first page and test that it opens the right profile.

Is it free and does it expire?

It is free, has no watermark and never expires.
